Claire started dancing at the age of 3 at local dance schools, performing in Festivals, competitions and end of year shows. At the age of 16, Claire then went to train at Preston Dance College on the ‘Professional Dancers and Teachers of Dance’ course for 3 years. Here she gained her DDE ISTD teaching qualifications in Modern, Tap and Ballet.

After leaving college, Claire got several professional dancing jobs abroad, touring hotels in Greece, weddings and corporate events in India and performed in a water show ‘Water Rouge’ in China. Her most recent and most exhilarating job was at the Benidorm Palace in Spain, as a dancer in ‘Nostalgia’.

Claire has now settled down into teaching dance classes to children and adults, sharing her experience and knowledge to enable students’ to reach their potential, as well as having fun in lessons.

Sophie has been dancing from a young age and soon realised she would love to pursue a career in Dance and Musical Theatre. At 16 she attended Amersham & Wycombe College on their BTEC in Performing Arts Dance course. On completion of the course she went on to complete her three years of professional Musical Theatre training at The Urdang Academy.

She has since worked as a Character and Parade Performer at Disneyland Paris and later chose to further her studies at Buckinghamshire New University, where she gained a First Class Honours Degree in Musical Theatre.

Sophie now teaches many styles of dancing, from Ballet to Street Dance and wishes to pursue a successful career in Dance teaching. Sophie is thrilled to start teaching with Claire Andrews Dance Academy to further her teaching experience.

Amber is a dancer and assistant at Claire Andrews Dance Academy. She first started dancing at 2 year sold and has loved dance ever since, dancing all different styles including Modern, Tap, Ballet, Acro and Street Dance and now mainly concentrating on Modern.

Amber helps with the younger Ballet and Acro dance classes and really enjoys the experience of assisting as she would love to become a Dance Teacher when she is older.

She is so lucky to be part of the Claire Andrews Dance Academy family and is also extremely grateful for everything Miss Claire does for her to pursue her dreams in the dance world.
